President Obama Requests Meeting of Key People from North Palm Beach to Join Him at the White House

The White House extended an invitation to the Chamber’s small business members to attend a speech on health care and the economy by President Obama, scheduled to take place at the White House on Thursday, October 29 at 11:45 a.m.

The invitation to this event is only being given to a very select group which includes the Council on Small Business. Therefore we expect the meeting will prove to be a very unique and intimate experience with a sitting President at a critical time in the health care debate.

On behalf of U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Nicole Christian, CEO of the NPBCC asked David Middleton, owner of the Intelligent Office in Palm Beach Gardens, to represent the NPBCC at this important meeting. “This is a great opportunity to participate in the national debate and I would like to thank Nicole and the NPBCC for providing this chance to contribute”, said Middleton. “I’m looking forward to gathering as much information as possible and bringing it back to Palm Beach County” he added

Intelligent Office provides virtual office services and flexible office space in supporting over 100 small businesses in the Palm Beach Gardens area. They have just recently agreed to be the presenting sponsor for the small business seminar series and the small business of the year award for the NPBCC in 2010. • Unicode over 60 percent of the web February 3, 2012
Computers store every piece of text using a “character encoding,” which gives a number to each character. For example, the byte 61 stands for ‘a’ and 62 stands for ‘b’ in the ASCII encoding, which was launched in 1963. Before the web, computer systems were siloed, and there were hundreds of different encodings. Depending on the encoding, C1 could mean any of […]
  • Mind the Gap: Encouraging women to study engineering February 2, 2012
Women make up more than half the global population, but hold fewer than a third of the world’s engineering jobs. In the U.S., female students comprise fewer than 15 percent of all Advanced Placement computer science test takers. Even in high-tech Israel, few girls choose computer science. Not only is this a loss to companies like Google and everyone who bene […]
